Reasons for consideration:

The South Pacific Mail was an English-language newspaper published in Valparaiso (1909-1950) and later Santiago (1950-1965). Its first editor and owner was Henry A. Hill and its first director William Horsey. It was for a time the principal English-language newspaper in Latin America. The title ceased December 31, 1965.

CRL has digitized 1918-1922 through the World Newspaper archive, and holds additional reels 1914-1917. This title exists on film from the Library of Congress (1914:Feb.28-1954:Dec.31), New York Public Library (1918:Jan 24-1947:Dec 31), Berkeley (1937:Jul-1942:Dec) and Harvard (scattered issues 1920-1925).
