The Bangkok Post is the oldest, national English-language daily published in Thailand since 1946. It was founded by Alexander MacDonald who was an American ex-navy lieutenant. It covers local and global news on all topics. It is still a very popular English newspaper read by educated Thais and foreigners in Thailand. The Bangkok Post Weekly Review summarizes weekly political, business and social news reported by The Bangkok Post.

Reasons for consideration:

As per WorldCat, libraries in Australia, Germany, Israel, and Singapore hold this title but it is unclear about their holdings in paper and/or film. None of the US libraries (University of New Hampshire, New York Public Library, University of Oregon, Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and University of Wisconsin-Madison) seems to have the holdings (Jan 5-May 24, June 7-28, 1966) that UC Berkeley Library proposes to film. Though it is a small bundle but it would still be worthwhile to film this national newspaper of Thailand for permanent preservation and access to those who need it.
