Participating librarians and scholars provide information here about collections, archives and data sets of interest to area and international studies (AIS) research, propose preservation of those collections and the creation of new digital resources from data sets, and vote on the merits of those proposals. Central Asian Newspapers, Part IV

William Fierman, professor of Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University, amassed a large collection of newspapers and periodicals from the Central Asian States of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan during the course of his career. He is willing to donate the runs of titles for preservation and academic use.

This collection contains more than 60 newspaper titles from Kazakhstan, 35 from Uzbekistan, and additional titles from Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.

Ujedinjeno srpstvo = United Serbians

This project would digitize CRL’s holdings for Ujedinjeno srpstvo = United Serbians for the years 1917 – 1922 and make them openly accessible on CRL's platform. It was a Serbian language periodical that was published in Chicago, Illinois from 1906-1948, but only the holdings from 1917-1922 are available at this time for digitization.
